Authorities ID Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV In Rogers County

Authorities have identified a Bartlesville motorcyclist killed in a crash on Highway 169 in Rogers County Saturday.

Authorities have identified a Bartlesville motorcyclist killed in a crash on Highway 169 in Rogers County Saturday.

Michael P. Smith, 49, died at the scene after crashing his Harley Davidson into an SUV. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver of the SUV failed to yield while making a left turn off the highway near Oologah.

OHP identified the driver of the SUV as 28-year-old Russell Reed, of Oologah. Reed was flown by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.

The cause of the crash and the conditions of the drivers are still under investigation, according to the OHP report.
