The human skull found on Friday on the 3200 block of West Reno is more than 100 years old according to a Forensic Archaeologist.

The skull was found about three and half feet underground by a construction crew. No other remains were found after police taped off the area and brought in an Archeologist.

"I'd say it's 100 years old. It could be several hundred years old," says Kent Buehler, with the Oklahoma Archeological Survey, who was called to the scene Friday.

Buehler says the skull was very light in weight, indicating the skull had been in the ground for a very long time. Buehler says partly because no other evidence was discovered, it will be almost impossible to gather much information about the skull.

The skull was sent to the Medical Examiner Office and will then go to OU's Anthropology Department for further studies.
