The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in a crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Claremore Tuesday morning.

Troopers said Wenjun Ning, 41, of Arcadia, California was driving a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder east on the turnpike when a 10-foot UHaul trailer he was pulling began swerving. The OHP says the SUV also began swerving, crossing into the inside lane where it was hit by a 2001 Peterbilt truck.

Ning was pronounced dead at the scene. Ning's two passengers, his 38-year-old wife Yefei Liu, and his 9-year-old son Andy Ning, 9, were flown to a Tulsa hospital.

The driver of the semi -- Michael Shumny, 54 -- of Carthage, Missouri was not injured.

The wreck occurred on a bridge over the Verdigris River just before 9:30 a.m.
