Tulsa police are investigating two crashes involving the same vehicle; one of those crashes was fatal. The fatality victim has been identified as 22-year-old Stacie Dry of Tulsa.
Police said a blue Ford Fusion slammed into a motorcycle at the 61st and Yale intersection around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the Fusion rear-ended the motorcycle with two people on it at the stoplight.
From there, police said the driver of the Fusion ran off, continuing east and running a red light near the entrance of St. Francis Hospital. That's when the driver caused a second wreck, hitting Dry's Mitsubishi Galant in the driver's side.
The Galant was turning left onto 61st from the hospital when the Fusion T-boned it.
The driver of the Ford Fusion has been identified as 27-year-old Christopher Mitchell.
Police said Dry was pronounced dead at the scene of the second crash.
The two people on the motorcycle and the driver police say caused both wrecks are in the hospital. Firefighters had to free Mitchell using the jaws of life.
Both wrecks are being investigated as crime scenes. Tulsa police believe alcohol was involved.
"The driver may face several charges, pending further investigation, and the results of his blood," a police report states.
