A unique work of art is now on display downtown Tulsa.

With the help of volunteers, artist Patrick Dougherty gathered sticks and weaved them together into sculptures at the Chapman Centennial Green near 6th and Main.

The sculpture was unveiled Thursday.

"I've been lucky to work in Tulsa and I've met lots of interesting people here. There's been a supportive groundswell from the community to have the sculptures here and to give new meaning to this park," said Patrick Dougherty.

Dougherty has created nearly 3,000 pieces of art, like this one, across the country.

Next, the artist says he'll head to California, then Ohio.
