Oklahoma City fire crews battled an early morning fire in northwest Oklahoma City.

When firefighters arrived, they reported a single story structure that was fully involved near northwest 13th Street and Shartel. Firefighters immediately took a defensive posture secondary to the extent of the flames. 

Hazmat crews were called out to monitor suspicious odors.

The fire was extinguished, but considered a total loss. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

Damage to the structure was valued at $340,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
