The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has advised the Little Axe School, located in Little Axe, to boil their water before use or consumption.

The department says that a good minute full boil will make this water acceptable for use.

The cause of the boil order is E. coli.

This boil order applies only to Little Axe School and does not impact any public water supplies.
