Magazine: Producers Leaning Toward Idris Elba To Be Next James Bond

Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig... and now Idris Elba?

Speculation is running rampant in Hollywood circles that producers are about to consider Idris Elba for the role of James Bond. 

A report from Esquire magazine suggests producers will ask Elba to step into Daniel Craig's shoes once he decides to step away from the role.

The 45-year-old British actor is best known for his role as Stringer Bell in the TV show, "The Wire," and as John Luther in the BBC One show called "Luther." However, Elba has been in a bevy of movies as well.
