DPS: State Driver License System Fully Functional

The statewide system for issuing driver licenses and ID cards is fully functional, DPS said Wednesday afternoon.

The department first reported the system being down on Tuesday and a power outage on Sunday morning caused a hardware problem which has brought down the statewide system.

DPS and all tag agencies were unable to process driver licenses or ID requests at this time.

On Wednesday morning, DPS said the system was still affected and the agency could not issue new driver licenses or IDs. Renewal and replacement services are no longer affected.
