Officers Recapture Inmate Who Walked Away From Prison

A burglary inmate was recaptured Monday after he has walked away from Jackie Brannon Correctional Center Sunday morning, officials said. 

Morgan L Mitzner, 57, was arrested along a stretch of train tracks south of Crowder near U.S. Highway 69. 

According to prison officials, Mitzner was last seen about 3:50 a.m. Sunday at the correctional center.

Mitzner was serving a 30-year sentence for a second-degree burglary conviction out of Delaware County when he walked away.
