Two people were arrested Wednesday morning after they drove into Bethany's parade route, police said.

The incident happened near NW 36 and N Divis Avenue.

Police were called between 10:30 to 11 a.m. in reference to a disturbance but did not give a location.

Police said a vehicle drove through a barricade in the wrong direction and managed to get out of the way of parade.

The two people in the vehicle are thought to be impaired, police said.

Police arrested Jeremy Hensley, 24, on a driving under the influence complaint and Michelle Young, 22, on complaints of public intoxication and assault and battery on a police officer.

No one was injured.
