A metro woman is accused of three robberies June 19 in Oklahoma City and The Village.
Calls to police came mid-afternoon. A man at a gas station near 63rd and Broadway Extension told the dispatcher a woman had just held him at gunpoint and tried to steal his vehicle.
The suspect couldn't figure out how to make the car move, the man said, even with his help. She eventually gave up and took off.
Within minutes, another man near 63rd and Western dialed 911 and told a similar story.
"A woman just attempted to carjack me," he said.
Less than an hour later, the Village Police Department received a call about another armed robbery near Britton and Penn. The victim said the suspect held a gun to her head and stole her purse.
Investigators said the suspect dropped the victim's purse and dumped the gun, which turned out to be fake, into a trash can and fled to nearby neighborhood.
Witnesses helped police track down the suspect. Body camera footage showed police find her hiding under a car in a driveway.
Sarvearia Kees, 58, was taken into custody. She was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail in connection with all three cases.
Kees has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1991.
