Wes Welker was back in Oklahoma City Saturday, hosting his third annual 7-on7 football camp for local high school teams.
Nearly 400 kids from 12 different schools competed at Speegle Stadium on the campus of Capitol Hill High School.
Welker, who is going into his second season as an assistant coach with the Houston Texans, wants the kids to know what college coached want to see.
“They’re not only looking for great football players who are very talented. There is a lot of talent out there, but kids that do it the right way. Just really trying to get that message across and the coaches here do a great job of really instilling that as well,” said Welker.
