News 9 Flashback: Yukon Class Of 1991 Celebrates Graduation Without Drugs, Alcohol

In this edition of News 9 Flashback, we're looking back on some special graduations across the Sooner State.

Let's start with 1991 and the graduating class at Yukon High School, featured on News 9 because of a special after-graduation celebration -- one without drugs or alcohol.

A group of Yukon parents, with help from business and community leaders, put together the all-night party. They turned the student center at El Reno Junior College into a dance hall.

"And they'll go home at 6:00 in the morning sober, alive and they'll remember for the rest of their lives what they did on graduation night," said volunteer Carole Garner.
