One Person Dead After Crash On H.E. Bailey Turnpike

One person is dead after a crash Wednesday morning on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike, troopers said.

The crash happened after 4:35 a.m. along westbound H.E. Bailey Turnpike, one mile south of Newcastle city limits in McClain County.

Sean D. McCoy, 28, of Ninnekah, was driving a sport utility vehicle on westbound H.E. Bailey Turnpike when the vehicle tried to U-turn and was hit by trailer loaded with cattle. McCoy's vehicle rolled at least a half time, troopers said.

McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene.
