Travelers Experience Delays, Cancellations As Result Of Deadly Shooting

The horror Tuesday's fatal shooting at Will Rogers World Airport also affected hundreds of air travelers at the airport.

Because the airport was shut down for several hours, many travelers didn't make their flights.

Susan Peterson and her 89-year-old mother pulled their car off of SW 54 Street and waited. As they waited, their flight to Seattle was canceled.

"My mom and I have traveled many times together, and there always seems to be an adventure we come across," Seattle resident Peterson said.

In total, 25 flights were canceled Tuesday, airport spokeswoman Karen Carney said.
