SandRidge To Lay Off More Employees

SandRidge Energy confirmed with News 9 Friday that the company is planning additional layoffs. 

David A. Kimmel, spokesperson for the company, released the following statement to News 9,

“I can confirm that we will be reducing our workforce at SandRidge Energy.

Taking this action is difficult, but critical to ensure we are strategic and intentional in aligning our staffing levels with our level of activity. During this extended period of low commodity prices, these reductions are necessary for the long-term success of our company. It’s important to acknowledge the significant contributions made by those who are leaving and to demonstrate our commitment to assisting each affected individual throughout this transition.”
