Oklahoma State kicker Ben Grogan has been named one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award.
Grogan has made 10 of his last 11 field goal attempts and 19 of his last 22. On the season, he’s 14-for-17 with a long of 45 yards. Grogan also became OSU’s all-time leading scorer this year, passing Dan Bailey.
Grogan has also broken Bailey’s record for PATs made and attempted in a career.
A group of FBS head coaches, SIDs, media members, former Groza finalists and current NFL kickers will narrow the semifinalist list to three finalists, which will be announced on Nov. 22 and honored at the 25th annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Awards Banquet on Dec. 5. The winner will be announced live on ESPN at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec. 8.
