A man jumped out of his car, stripped naked and then jumped into a creek in a desperate attempt to run from police early Thursday morning in SW OKC.
The chase started at SW 52nd St. and S. McKinley Ave., when police stopped Kholer Sullivan for driving with his high-beam headlights engaged. Police say while Kholer initially complied, as the officer approached his car, he threw his vehicle into reverse before taking off.
The pursuit ended at Lightning Creek, near SW 29th St. and S. Santa Fe Ave. That’s where police say Sullivan stripped naked before jumping into the creek. He was in the water for several minutes, and eventually was swept into marsh where officers could reach him and had to be carried out by officers. He was treated at a hospital for low body temperature and then jailed.
When this chase started, police say Kholer had three passengers. Those people managed to jump from the vehicle before it ended and are not facing charges.
