Christian Costello Found Competent To Stand Trial

Christian Costello has been deemed competent to stand trial for the death of his father, Labor Commissioner Mark Costello.

Costello, 27, was charged in connection with the fatally stabbing his father in the parking lot of a Braum’s in August 2015.

An Oklahoma judge ruled that Costello should be evaluated by a state medical expert back in August.

A trial date has been set for April 3, 2017. Until then, Costello will be held at Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Okla.
