Man Drowns In Fishing Accident Near Lawton

Authorities identified a man who drowned Saturday afternoon in a fishing accident on Lake Elmer Thomas. 

Police say Jay B. Woodward, 71, fell out of the boat due to an unknown medical condition and into the water. 

Another passenger was in the boat at the time and tried to rescue Woodward by swimming with the him to shore but CPR attempts were unsuccessful.
