The Oklahoma Hall of Fame announced six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan will present Russell Westbrook for the 2016 Banquet and Induction Ceremony.
Per tradition, the honorees choose an inspirational person in their life to present them at the ceremony. Westbrook has represented Jordan brand shoes and apparel since 2012.
“We are truly excited to have Michael Jordan presenting Russell Westbrook, and we are equally fortunate to have a full slate of accomplished presenters joining us at this year’s ceremony,” said Shannon L. Rich, president and CEO of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum. “They provide us a meaningful opportunity to celebrate this year’s inductees and forward our mission of telling Oklahoma’s story through its people.”
The other presenters at this year’s banquet will be Molly Shi Boren, presenting Michael Burrage; Ree Drummond, presenting Rebecca Dixon; Theodore Elam, presenting Dan Dillingham; Jane Jayroe Gamble, presenting Rita Bly Aragón; and Pat O’Hara, presenting Kelli O’Hara.
The 89th Oklahoma Hall of Fame Banquet & Induction Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
