Crimson and Cream Cookies
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 6 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon Nielsen Massey chocolate extract
- 1 egg
- Cream cheese frosting
- Sprinkles
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl beat together the cake mix, softened butter, sour cream, cocoa powder, chocolate extract and egg till a dough forms.
- Using a cookie scoop, place cookies on the baking sheet and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool thoroughly and then frost with cream cheese frosting and decorate.
