Online shopping is may be convenient but it's not always the safest.
Virtual credit cards might be the answer to keep hackers away from your money and information as you start holiday shopping.
Essentially, these temporary credit card numbers include expiration dates and security codes and are associated with your real card.
Privacy.com creates the virtual numbers and are only available in the US.
Experts say you can just install the browser extension and click the icon in the toolbar. Then choose an amount to charge to the virtual card.
You also have the option of creating a burner card which means once the number is used it self-destructs so can't be used again.
