The Stillwater School District is investigating after an elementary student called 911, claiming her bus driver was ramming into things like mailboxes. But Stillwater police say this wasn't so much a case of a bad driver as it was a case of a child's overactive imagination.

The district sent an e-mail to parents yesterday afternoon that said, "During the afternoon bus route taking children home from Highland Park Elementary, a student on bus route 7 called 911 and reported that the driver of their bus was crashing into things."

Police called the district which told the bus driver to pull over and wait. When police arrived, they say they didn't notice any damage to the bus and didn't see any damage along the route.

The school superintendent says he reviewed video from the bus and it didn't appear as though the bus struck anything. The district is continuing to interview students who were on the bus though, and the driver is suspended pending the results of the district's investigation.
