A man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting in Altus, Oklahoma, has been arrested in Holbrook, Arizona.
Altus police said they were notified late Tuesday night that 19-year-old Kevin James Nall Jr. has been arrested by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive task force. Nall was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Freddie Lopez.
According to police, just after 12:30 a.m. on September 1, officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 300 block of N. Hudson. When officers arrived, they found Lopez, who had been shot multiple times. Lopez died from his injuries.
Investigators believe Nall originally fled to the Oklahoma City area after the shooting.
The case was presented to the Jackson County District Attorney’s office and an arrest warrant was later issued through the Jackson County District Court for Nall on a charge of first-degree murder.
