If somebody calls you, saying they need you to pay for bills using and iTunes gift card, Apple says it's a scam.
Apple announced victims are receiving calls, asking them to pay overdue bills, debt, bail, taxes, etc. with an iTunes fit card.
They say the call will likely be a story that causes "panic and urgency," requiring the victim to then go buy an iTunes gift card then give the caller the 16 digit code on the back of the card.
Apple stresses the only things an iTunes gift card can be used to purchase are things from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or an Apple Music membership.
If you receive one of these calls, contact the police and the Federal Trade Commission.
