A northeast Edmond home invasion has police investigating and the victim fuming.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in the Huntwick neighborhood.
The victim, "Dusty," said she was working out on her treadmill in the rear of the home, when someone rang her doorbell several times, before kicking down the front door of her house.
She said she came face to face with the intruder, who she described was a young very slender white male, with short hair.
“I was freaking out,” she said. “I screamed, 'what is going on? What are you doing?' He ran out of the garage.”
She said the boy and an older while male sped away in a red Jeep Cherokee.
Police are urging anyone who has surveillance cameras outside their home that may have detected the red Jeep Cherokee in the area about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to contact police.
“What we’d like to do is pick that time frame or the tag number or more descriptive markings on that vehicle,” said Edmond police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe.
A friend of the victim said an older man man who was driving a red Cherokee came to her door on Wednesday too, but went away when she told him to leave.
