A train derailment in Garfield County, Oklahoma, was most likely caused by a tornado overnight.

The railroad company says 19 empty train cars blew over and derailed about four to five miles west of Carrier. The train was not moving, and no one was on the train at the time.

Crews are assessing the damage Thursday morning. No one was injured. Officials expect the railroad tracks to be open by 4 or 5 p.m. Thursday.

Severe storms rolled across northern Oklahoma Wednesday night, producing multiple tornadoes near Goltry, Hillsdale, Carrier, Kremlin.
