A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Stephens County late Tuesday night.

Gerron Thompson, 23, of Duncan, was driving his motorcycle just a couple of miles southwest of Duncan when he was struck by a car that ran through a stop sign.

Thompson was driving westbound on Fuller Rd. when he was hit by a 2015 Ford Focus driven by 52-year-old Michael Johnson.

Thompson was transferred to Duncan Regional Hospital, then to OU Medical Center and admitted in serious condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

Police say that Johnson was under the influence of prescription medication and marijuana.
