The National Weather Service (NWS) in Norman has rated a tornado that touched down near Mustang, Oklahoma, an EF-0, and another tornado that touched down near Luther, an EF-1.
Early Thursday, the NWS originally upgraded the rating of the Mustang tornado from an EF-0 to an EF-1. However, the NWS later corrected the rating to an EF-0. The winds reached 80 to 85 MPH.
The tornado touched down about 8 p.m. Tuesday near S.W. 59th and Sara Road. It was moving northeast into Oklahoma County near S.W. 29th Street and dissipated before reaching Council Road. Trees, power lines and outbuildings were damaged.
Another tornado that touched down at about 8:43 p.m. near Luther has been rated an EF-1. Winds reached 100 to 105 MPH. This tornado caused scattered damage from south of the intersection of Westminster Road and Memorial Road, to northeast of Triple X Road and Coffee Creek Road, to the north-northwest of Luther.
