Suspect Arrested After Leading Police On Chase From El Reno To OKC

A suspect is in custody after leading authorities on a chase from El Reno to Oklahoma City, early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the male suspect was reportedly driving drunk in the drive-thru lane at a McDonald’s restaurant in El Reno. When officers arrived, the driver took off. That’s when the pursuit began.

At one point, the driver was traveling 85 mph, police said. The chase lasted about 20 minutes and ended at a travel center on Interstate 40 and Council in Oklahoma City. The suspect was then arrested.

The suspect, who has not been identified at this time, is facing possible charges of DUI and eluding police.
