OKC Man Accused Of Lewd Acts With 13-Year-Old Neighbor

An Oklahoma City man was arrested, accused of sexually assaulting his neighbor’s 13-year-old son.

According to a police report, the alleged incident occurred on Friday afternoon at a trailer park on S. MacArthur Blvd. in Oklahoma City.

The report states that the suspect, 58-year-old Dale Stanley Schmidt, went over to the victim’s home and told the teen his dad said he could come over to Schmidt’s trailer, so he could teach the boy how to tune a guitar.

The victim told police he agreed and went over to Schmidt’s trailer, where he was led into the bedroom. Once in the bedroom the victim said Schmidt started to tickle him on his stomach and around his upper thigh. The victim said he was out of breath and tried to get away, but Schmidt pulled him back on the bed and started to pull down the victim’s shorts, all the while repeatedly saying, “Let’s see if he’s a big boy.”

The victim managed to get away, ran back to his trailer and locked the door. The teen told police Schmidt followed him back and started knocking on the door. The teen hid until the knocking stopped, then he said he ran to the office to call for help.

Police arrived soon after and met with Schmidt. The officers asked Schmidt if he knew why they were there and Schmidt responded, because “he tickled a little boy.” Schmidt was soon placed under arrest and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of Lewd Acts with a Child Under 16. Details on a possible bond were not available.

Investigators also spoke with the teen’s father, who said he never gave his son permission to go over to Schmidt’s trailer and said he does not even associate with Schmidt.
