A Bethany High School football player who was injured during a game is back in Oklahoma after spending months at a rehab hospital in Colorado.
Just in time for a big benefit concert this weekend.
Hudson Haws was critically injured Oct. 23 during a game against Blanchard.
The Haws family returned to Oklahoma on Thursday to find that friends surprised them by making their home accessible to Hudson.
Everything from wheelchair ramps to new wood floors, even a new bathroom, and Hudson has quickly adjusted to being back home.
He has mastered maneuvering his wheelchair, that's equipped with his phone, of course. He's getting physically stronger and regaining some feeling in his fingers.
It's a long way since he was injured this fall during a football game. He spent the last three months in intense (Hudson used the word “severe”) therapy at Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Englewood Colorado.

“I told Hudson you’re training like a pro athlete is what it really amounted to,” said Tim Haws, Hudson’s father.
Now, back on his home turf, friends and family and even strangers are continuing to wrap their arms around the family. Hudson's remodeled room and bathroom have made the transition easier.
Fundraising efforts have raised over $250,000 so far for the family.
Former OU quarterback Sam Bradford gave Hudson a football he received the night he won the Heisman.
Bradford, along with the four other Oklahoma Heisman winners, are organizing a fundraiser called Heismans for Hud.
Saturday's concert, featuring Matt Stansberry and the Romance, is also expected to draw big crowds.
“It is overwhelming, words cannot describe the blessings that we have received from all across the state,” Tim Haws said.
And blessings from above that this family hasn't forgotten and has faith will continue.
“Jesus told us just one day at a time, take care of today and tomorrow will take care of itself,” Tim Haws said. “That’s how we’ve been doing it.”
