ME Identifies Man Whose Body Was Found In SW OKC Drainage Canal

The Medical Examiner has identified a man whose body was found in a drainage canal in a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood on Thanksgiving.

According to Oklahoma City police, just before 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving, a body was found in the drainage canal of the Briarwood Creek housing addition, located near several schools, in between S. Western Ave. and N. Santa Fe Ave.

The Medical Examiner’s office confirmed with News 9 on Tuesday that they have identified the man as 67-year-old James McKee. His cause of death was skull fractures due to fall, and his manner of death has been ruled accident.
