Suspect Arrested For Murder Of Man Discovered Near Newcastle Casino

Homicide investigators have made an arrest, after a body was discovered in a cul de sac near the Newcastle casino, late Thursday night.

Investigators with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) tell News 9 Stephen Wineland was arrested in connection with the homicide. Agents say the victim, Michael Martinez, died from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say that the two men knew each other, but did not elaborate further.

Wineland is in the McClain County jail on a murder complaint.
