With Thanksgiving now less than a week away, many of you are no doubt planning every detail of that holiday meal.
But before you start cooking, there are some smartphone apps that can play the role of a digital sous-chef. You can pretty much toss the cookbook out the window with these.
A great Thanksgiving dinner starts with good food. "Yummly" is a one stop shop for finding recipes and reviews from around the web. The app pulls recipes from big names like Martha Stewart and even smaller independent blogs.
Now let’s move ahead to Thanksgiving Day. You're going to have lots of dishes cooking at once. For that, you'll need an app that let's you set multiple times.
CNET says the most well-designed is "Timer Plus." All you have to do is set a timer, give it a name, and you'll get an alert when the times up.
Finally, some of you might like wine with your turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. To help you choose the best one, try "Vivino."
You can even take the app shopping to scan labels of wines you're considering. The app then shows you ratings, reviews, and average prices.
Also, you know Butterball is famous for its turkey hotline. Did you know they have an app? It will tell you everything you need to know about your bird.
