4A-1
There’s two playoff spots up for grabs in District 1 and the game to watch is Elk City at Clinton. The Red Tornadoes will get the 3-seed with a victory and the Elks would have to wait and see what happens in the Weatherford game. Speaking of the Eagles, who currently own the 4-seed on a tiebreaker, they face top-seed Anadarko this week.
Key Games:
Clinton(4-2)-Elk City(3-3)
Anadarko(6-0)-Weatherford(3-3)
4A-2
Undefeated Tuttle has clinched the top spot but there’s a showdown in Ada for the 2-seed between the Cougars and Harrah Panthers. Last year Harrah edged Ada in a 42-34 thriller on the final week of the season. This time the Cougars are at home. Someone out of the trio of Bristow, McLoud and Tecumseh will get the 4-seed. It’s the Purple Pirates’ spot to lose and they can clinch it by winning at Tecumseh on Friday.
Key Games:
Ada(4-1)-Harrah(4-1)
Tecumseh(1-4)-Bristow(2-3)
4A-3
Like District 2, District 3 features a heavyweight bout between current 2-and 3-seeds Oologah and McLain. The Mustangs are on a roll having won five-straight while the Titans have lost two-of-three. Catoosa sits in fourth right now but the Indians get first-place Wagoner on Friday while Cascia Hall goes to Cleveland. A Commandos victory likely puts them in the playoffs if Catoosa can’t get the job done.
Key Games:
McLain(4-2)-Oologah(5-1)
Catoosa(3-3)-Wagoner(6-0)
Cleveland(1-5)-Cascia Hall(3-3)
4A-4
Poteau and Metro Christian are locks to make the playoffs and Sallisaw is right there too. The Pirates will look to clinch top honors with a win at Central while the Patriots and Black Diamonds duke it out in Sallisaw for the 2-seed. Broken Bow and Muldrow face each other with the winner getting in as the 4-seed and the loser done for the season.
Key Games:
Sallisaw(4-2)-Metro Christian(5-1)
Broken Bow(3-3)-Muldrow(3-3)
