Jim Gardner and Bob Mills SkyNews 9 HD was in the air Friday, following gunfire and a scary situation at a check cashing business near Britton and Western.
Police told News 9 only one shot was fired Friday afternoon inside that check cashing store on Britton. And there are a lot of questions about what took place inside.
Just before 4:00 p.m., a man dressed in all black entered the Cashland on West Britton Road. Within a matter of seconds things quickly changed.
Police said the suspect pulled a gun on employees and demanded money.

“The suspect was armed and did fire one shot inside the store,” said Officer Jeff Dutton.
That single shot thankfully did not hit any of the employees inside the store. But the man took off before police arrived.
Air One hovered above searching for him, while officers combed through the scene collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
“The suspect did leave, we're not sure if the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle or direction on travel,” said Officer Dutton.
Police put several witnesses in custody for questioning.
News 9 was told no one inside Cashland recognized the man.
Detectives locked down several nearby businesses Friday afternoon, while they investigated the armed robbery.
It's not clear whether the suspect even took any money or property during the armed robbery.
Police continue to search for the suspect, a black male who at the time was wearing all black clothing and stands at about 6 feet tall wearing glasses.
