Earthquakes Rattle Northern Oklahoma Overnight

Earthquakes continued to shake Northern Oklahoma overnight into early Sunday.

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 3:49 a.m. Its epicenter was located just four miles west of Helena, 29 miles west northwest of Enid, and 57 miles east of Woodward. It was over six miles deep.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., a 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck. Its epicenter was located six miles west of Perry, 18 miles east southeast of Enid, and 30 miles west northwest of Stillwater. It was under a mile deep.

These two quake come after, several shook up the state of Oklahoma throughout the day Saturday.

No one has reported any injuries or damages associated with the earthquakes at this time.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
