The average price of gas in the state of Oklahoma is the lowest it has been since 2004 and those numbers are still expected to decline, according to AAA.
The average price of gas in the state stands at $2.06 per gallon and prices at some gas stations around the metro are 20-cents or more lower than that.
“Oklahoma’s pump prices are also trending lower,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “It’s the same old story, crude oil is down and petroleum is in good supply.”
Just a year ago gas prices in Oklahoma were $3.16 per gallon.
The nationwide average price for gas is $2.28 per gallon. According to AAA, 10 other states have lower gas prices than Oklahoma.
