OKC City Council Approves Festival of the Arts Relocation

The Oklahoma City city council unanimously voted in approval to relocate the Festival of Arts to Bicentennial Park, located at 500 Couch Drive.

Festival of the Arts will return to the site it began at for its 50th anniversary.

From 1967-1984, Festival of the Arts was located in the park between Civic Center Music Hall and City Hall, then was moved to its current location at Hudson and the Myriad Gardens. Due to future development of Hudson Ave. and Arts Council OKC’s property where the food court currently resides, the City of Oklahoma City asked that Festival of the Arts move to Bicentennial Park.

“We appreciate the City Council’s approval and all the hard work the city has put in to making this relocation successful. Festival of the Arts simply would not happen without the love and support from the community,” said Peter Dolese, Arts Council OKC Executive Director. “We look forward to an exciting year returning home!”
