With the release of the Big 12 Conference slate, Oklahoma's 2015-16 schedule is complete. The Sooners will begin their league schedule at home against Iowa State on Saturday, Jan. 2 and will have all 18 of their conference games televised nationally.
Coach Lon Kruger's Sooners will play their other eight conference home games Jan. 9 vs. Kansas State (ESPNEWS), Jan. 16 vs. West Virginia (ESPN or ESPN2), Jan. 26 vs. Texas Tech (ESPN2), Feb. 2 vs. TCU (ESPNEWS), Feb. 8 vs. Texas (ESPN Big Monday), Feb. 13 vs. Kansas (ESPN or ESPN2), Feb. 24 vs. Oklahoma State (ESPNU) and March 1 vs. Baylor (ESPN2).
OU will play its nine road games Jan. 4 at Kansas (ESPN Big Monday), Jan. 13 at Oklahoma State (ESPNU), Jan. 18 at Iowa State (ESPN Big Monday), Jan. 23 at Baylor (ESPN or ESPN2), Feb. 6 at Kansas State (ESPNU), Feb. 17 at Texas Tech (ESPNU), Feb. 20 at West Virginia (ESPN or ESPN2), Feb. 27 at Texas (CBS) and March 5 at TCU (ESPNEWS).
The Sooners' game at Texas will mark their first regular season contest on CBS since the 2005-06 season.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be played March 9-12 (Wednesday-Saturday) at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.
The televised conference games are being carried as part of a multi-year agreement with ESPN that runs through the 2024-25 season. No fewer than 100 games overall (conference and non-conference) will air annually.
The Sooners return four starters, 75 percent of their scoring, 74 percent of their rebounding and 83 percent of their assists from the 2014-15 squad that went 24-11 and finished in a tie for second place in the Big 12. Among the returnees is senior guard Buddy Hield, who led the league in scoring last year (17.4 ppg) and was the Big 12 Player of the Year. OU went to its third straight NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time under Kruger.
