Police hope a surveillance photo will help them catch a man who robbed a Burger King restaurant.
According to police, at about 7:30 a.m. on Friday, August 14, officers responded to the report of a robbery at Burger King, located at 135 N.E. 23rd Street.
Employees said a man came into the restaurant and said he was looking at the menu. However, when the cashier opened the cash drawer, the man went behind the counter and tried to grab the money. The cashier said she tried to stop the man. That’s when the man slapped her back and hit her on the left side of her face.
The man was able to grab $20 out of the cash drawer and ran away from the scene.
On Tuesday, August 18, police released a surveillance photo of the suspect. If you know who he is, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
