Authorities Investigating 'Suspicious' Fire At Abandoned SW OKC School

Oklahoma City fire crews had to work fast to put out a fire in an abandoned school overnight.

Firefighters were called out to battle a blaze at Columbus Elementary School near SW 24th St. and S. Penn. Ave. just before 2 a.m.

Crews reported seeing flames in a room when they arrived on scene. The fire was contained to that single room.

Oklahoma City police shutdown several roads in the area as firefighters put out the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but authorities have confirmed that it is suspicious.
