Former Oklahoma State Cowboy and current Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant is threatening to hold out through the regular season opener against the New York Giants, according to reports.
I'll believe it when I see it. After having the franchise tag put on him by Dallas, Bryant basically has two options. He can sign the franchise agreement and play for $12.8 million this season, or not sign it, not play, and get nothing.
Dez really wants a long-term deal, and he may get it eventually. The Cowboys front office has said they'll make a push to lock him up long-term at some point.
Dez has had a very productive, but somewhat checkered five seasons in Dallas, and at this point, his best option may be just to swallow his pride, take his $12.8 million, play this season, and go from there.
