ODOT: Road Conditions Throughout Central Oklahoma

Drivers throughout central Oklahoma were warned of several areas to avoid due to severe weather Wednesday. Multiple highways and roadways were shut down because of debris and high water warnings.

As of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, the east and westbound I-44 off-ramps to S.W. 149th St. were closed due to high water. Drivers must locate an alternate route.

All lanes of I-35 between S. 19th St. and Indian Hills Rd in Moore are reopened. Also, all lanes of I-35 at Tecumseh Road in Norman are open following debris removal.

All lanes of I-240 at Shield Blvd. are open.

In Caddo County, SH-152 is open two miles east of Binger, but drivers should be alert to water on the roadway.

In Grady County, US 81 is open two miles south of Minco, but drivers should be aware of water in the area. Also, east and westbound SH-37 is closed near Cemetery Rd. to west of SH-4 near Tuttle due to high water and downed power lines. The southbound SH-92 is closed two miles south of SH-37 near Tuttle.

In Hughes County, SH-48 is closed two miles north of SH-9 due to high water. Traffic is detoured to SH-56 and SH-99A.

The Oklahoma Police Department it has a perimeter set up around the damaged area from I-35 to Eastern and from SE 29th to SE 51st. Traffic is not allowed to enter the area or unauthorized personnel. Searches are being conducted of the homes in the area.
