OSBI Investigating Fatal Shooting Near Devol, Cotton County

A Cotton County man was killed in an attempted home invasion.

Just after 3 a.m. Sunday, Cotton County Sheriff's requested OSBI agents to assist with an investigation into a fatal shooting.

Authorities said Nathan Morales, 31, broke into a home at Route 1 Box 40 A near Devol. As Morales worked to gain entry, someone from inside the home shot him. He died on scene.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The incident is still under investigation by the OSBI.
