An Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy arrested a Texas fugitive following a traffic stop on Sunday in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Sheriff's office, the deputy was at the intersection of N.W. 122nd and N. Penn. when he noticed a car being driven in a reckless manner.
The deputy said he stopped the driver and quickly determined that the car had been reported stolen out of Texas. The driver initially gave the deputy a false name, but the deputy said he eventually identified the man as 37-year-old Quinten Leon Robinson of Ft. Worth, Texas.
According to the Sheriff's office, Robinson had a warrant out from the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office related to an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Robinson was taken into custody. He is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple complaints, including possession of a stolen vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a license, reckless driving, obstructing an officer, and bringing stolen property into the state.
Robinson is being held on $6,500 bail, and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office has placed a hold on him pending extradition.
