You've heard of whistling while you work. News 9 found a man who does a lot more than that while on the clock at a local 7-Eleven.
Tyrelle Cornish is a clerk at the 7-Eleven at Danforth and Santa in Edmond and sings to all the customers.
It started 8 months ago. “I had some coffee one day and I was way too through the roof. I was singing and dancing,” said Cornish.
“This guy is awesome. He's always like this. It's not a show. He does this every day,” said customer Gary Soukup.
Cornish sings to customers pulling up for gas through the intercom and also as he gives change back while behind the counter.
“Some people are having a bad day and I sing to them, it kind of changes their mood,” said Cornish, who also broke out in a British accent.
“I think he's awesome,” said customer Laura Harrison.
“He does have a nice voice,” said Iris Henderson.
Cornish said he got his singing voice from his mother, but claimed the real singer of the family was his little brother.
Tyrelle is helping his brother produce a record. Meanwhile, he keeps singing on the clock, because people have come to expect the songs.
